Privacy Policy for the Game "Planetki"

1. Data Controller

2. Key Information at a Glance

• The game is available without needing to create an account.
• Game progress and settings are saved locally in your browser.
• Submitting your score to the public leaderboard is completely voluntary.
• Analytics (Google Analytics 4) is used solely to improve the game and operates only with your consent.
• The game does not currently display ads. Planetki uses Google's native CMP consent screen in preparation for a future Google AdSense integration.

3. Data Saved on Your Device (localStorage)

The game uses browser storage (localStorage) to store data necessary for its operation:

• Active game state (stored for up to 7 days from the last session) and high score,
• Selected settings (language, sound),
• Anonymous technical identifiers for leaderboard functionality.

Note: This data remains exclusively on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.

4. Public Leaderboard

After completing a game, you may voluntarily submit your score to the global leaderboard.

• Processed Data: provided nickname, achieved score, game duration, round statistics, and an anonymous technical identifier.
• Visibility: Your nickname, score, in-game achievements, and date will be publicly visible.
• Privacy Protection: Your nickname is public. Do not enter your real name, address, email, or any other personal information. If you accidentally submit such data, contact us at zbigniew.zajac@nocneniebo.pl (providing your nickname and approximate date), and the entry will be removed.
• Retention Period: Scores are stored for as long as the leaderboard remains operational.

5. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, the game uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous statistics (e.g., number of games started, language used, general device type).

• We do not send your nickname or leaderboard identifiers to GA4.
• Analytics runs only after you grant consent through Google CMP. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Privacy settings” button in the site footer.
• The service provider (Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area based on appropriate legal safeguards (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).

6. Technical Logs and Security

While using the game, the server automatically records basic technical data in system logs (including IP address, request date and time, requested URL, and error details).

• Purpose: Ensuring service stability, protection against cyberattacks and abuse (Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Retention Period: Logs are stored for 90 days, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

7. Backups

Database backups are created solely to safeguard the service against system failures and data loss. Backups are retained for no longer than 1 month, after which they are automatically overwritten.

8. Data Recipients and Current Advertising Status

Data may be entrusted to third parties providing hosting services, server maintenance, and analytics (Google).

• Advertising: Planetki does not currently display ads or carry out advertising profiling. The Google AdSense script is loaded solely to provide Google's native CMP; ad requests are paused, while Auto Ads and ad units remain disabled.
• Future advertising: Before ads are served, this policy will be expanded with complete information about advertising cookies, ad technology providers, personalization, and how Google and its partners use data.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your data, request its rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing,
• Object to data processing,
• Withdraw your consent for analytics at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal),
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: The President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO in Poland).

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

If we introduce advertising or other external services that affect user data in the future, we will update this policy before those services begin operating. A new version of the document will be published with an updated date at the top.
